Study on Gelatin Hydrogel for Drug Delivery Retracted Due to Image Overlap

A study published in Polymer Bulletin, a Springer Nature journal, has been retracted due to concerns over overlapping microscopy images in its toxicity evaluation. The paper, which described a new method for delivering the asthma drug salbutamol sulphate using gelatin-based hydrogels, was retracted by the Editors-in-Chief after finding that images representing different experimental conditions appeared to be identical, undermining the reliability of the presented data.
