JWST Observes Dynamic Changes in Chariklo's Asteroid Rings

The James Webb Space Telescope has revealed that the two thick rings of Chariklo, a Centaur asteroid between Saturn and Uranus, are actively changing. Observations show the inner ring has increased in opacity while the outer ring's opacity has decreased compared to a decade ago.
