James Webb Space Telescope Reveals Surprises About Objects Beyond Neptune

New studies utilizing NASA's James Webb Space Telescope and Hubble Space Telescope have conducted the largest-ever census of Trans-Neptunian Objects (TNOs), small icy bodies orbiting beyond Neptune. The observations revealed 27 new TNOs, some as small as six miles wide, providing insights into the early formation of planets. Contrary to expectations, the data showed only a slight increase in small objects, suggesting the Kuiper Belt is not primarily composed of dust and crumbs.
