New research published in Nature Medicine suggests that accelerated biological aging in younger generations may be a contributing factor to the increasing rates of cancers diagnosed before age 55. The study found that people from more recent generations tended to have bodies that appeared biologically older than those of earlier generations at the same chronological age, with greater biological age acceleration linked to a higher risk of specific early-onset cancers.
