Fuel Savings Double Potential Lifetime for NASA's Roman Mission

NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope mission is projected to have its potential lifetime doubled due to significant fuel savings. The lighter spacecraft required less propellant for its mid-course correction, and its reduced weight allowed for propellant tanks to be filled beyond the initial 10-year mission requirement. This extended operational period will provide more opportunities for the Roman Space Telescope to conduct its observations, including mapping the universe at an unprecedented scale.
