Atlas Building Composites, an MIT-backed company, has developed an AI-powered robotic platform to transform shredded single-use plastic into structural building components. These new materials are reportedly stronger than wood and are produced through an innovative waterless recycling process. The technology has already been utilized to create recycled composite trusses for a 40-foot bridge, offering a sustainable solution for both plastic waste and construction needs.
