Supermassive Black Hole Winds Found to Be 100 Times More Powerful Than Previously Thought

Astronomers have discovered that winds emanating from supermassive black holes are approximately 100 times more powerful than earlier estimates. New observations from XRISM indicate that these powerful winds can spread turbulence roughly 300,000 light-years, extending far beyond the black hole's host galaxy and significantly influencing vast regions of space.
