CERN Experiment Detects Evidence of Rare Higgs Boson Decay

Physicists at CERN's ATLAS Collaboration have observed evidence of a rare Higgs boson decay into a virtual photon and a real photon, which then produces a pair of leptons. This specific decay pathway, known as H→γ*γ→llγ, is highly infrequent, occurring in only about one in 10,000 Higgs decays.
