JWST Observations Challenge Kuiper Belt Formation Theories

This finding suggests the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune may not primarily consist of dust and crumbs, as previously theorized. The new data indicate only a slight increase in smaller objects, challenging existing models of how these icy bodies evolve through collisions.
