NASA's New Horizons Spots Signs of Liquid Nitrogen Flowing on Pluto

Scientists have found the first evidence that liquid nitrogen may be seeping onto Pluto's frozen surface, suggesting the dwarf planet is more geologically active than previously thought. Dark features on the Sputnik Planitia glacier are consistent with liquid nitrogen rising through cracks from beneath the ice.
