ESA's European-Chinese Smile Mission Begins Science Operations

The European-Chinese Smile mission has officially commenced its science operations, following a successful in-space commissioning period. Declared ready on September 23, the mission will now begin to investigate how Earth's magnetosphere responds to the constant stream of charged particles from the Sun, known as solar wind.
