NASA's Roman Space Telescope Begins Deep Space Mission, Promises Unprecedented Universe Mapping
NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, launched on August 30, is now en route to deep space, one million miles from Earth. This new observatory is designed to work in conjunction with the James Webb and Hubble space telescopes, mapping the universe 1,000 times faster than Hubble with a field of view 100 times larger. It is expected to find over 100,000 new planets and send back 1.4 terabytes of data daily.
