Eastern Pacific Hurricane Rachel Maintains Strength and West-Northwest Trajectory

Hurricane Rachel, the 18th named storm and seventh major hurricane of the 2026 East Pacific season, has slightly strengthened while continuing its west-northwestward path. Although moving away from land, it is generating significant swells and heavy rain for southern Baja California. The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories as the storm progresses.
