NASA Report Warns of Centuries of Sea Level Rise, Even if Global Temperatures Cool
A new report, "Sea Level Rise Under Overshoot," from the NASA Sea Level Change Team and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), indicates that sea levels will continue to rise for centuries, even if global temperatures temporarily exceed and then return below the 1.5°C target. The report highlights that another 10 to 15 centimeters of global rise is expected by 2050, regardless of future emissions paths.
