Webb and MeerKAT Telescopes Locate Most Distant Fast Radio Burst Source
Astronomers have identified the host galaxy of FRB 20240304B, now the most distant fast radio burst (FRB) ever recorded, using the MeerKAT radio telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope. This FRB originated over 10 billion years ago, when the universe was about a quarter of its current age, significantly extending the known distance record for such phenomena. The findings were published in the journal Science.
