ESA Announces Advanced Signal Module for Galileo Second Generation Satellites

The European Space Agency (ESA) has revealed that the upcoming twelve Galileo Second Generation (G2) satellites will incorporate a new signal generation module, enhancing positioning, navigation, and timing capabilities. This "brain" of the spacecraft is being integrated into six G2 satellites at Airbus Defence and Space, with Thales Alenia Space also contributing. The G2 family will feature innovative elements like electric propulsion and advanced atomic clocks.
