NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover Shatters Off-World Driving Record

NASA's Perseverance rover has set a new record for off-world driving, traveling farther across another planet than any previous vehicle. Its advanced self-driving system enabled it to surpass the 28.06-mile record, previously held by the Opportunity rover, in just five and a half years. The rover is currently exploring ancient Martian rocks for clues about past environments that may have supported life.
