NASA to Evaluate Planet Labs' Tanager Hyperspectral Data for Earth Science

Planet Labs Federal secured a NASA task order to assess its Tanager hyperspectral dataset. NASA will evaluate the high-resolution data, covering over 250,000 square kilometers, for its utility in various Earth science applications, including atmospheric composition, biodiversity, and hydrology. This evaluation follows the recent launch and initial operation of Tanager-2, aiming to enhance Earth monitoring capabilities.
