ESA Space Rider Test Vehicle Lost in Drop Test Failure

The European Space Agency (ESA) encountered a setback with its Space Rider program after a test vehicle was lost during a recent drop test. The incident occurred when the parafoil, critical for landing, failed to deploy correctly. Space Rider is designed as Europe's reusable spaceplane for autonomous missions, making this mishap a notable challenge for the program's development.
