IOC Provisionally Reinstates Russian Olympic Committee

The International Olympic Committee has provisionally ended its suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee. This decision paves the way for Russian athletes to potentially return to global competitions, including qualifying events for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The ROC had been suspended since October 2023 due to its recognition of Olympic councils in Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia.
