University of Virginia Players Drafted in Early MLB Rounds

Two University of Virginia juniors, AJ Gracia and Eric Becker, were selected in the early rounds of the 2026 MLB Draft. Outfielder Gracia was picked ninth overall by the Atlanta Braves in the first round. Shortstop Becker followed, going 58th overall to the Cincinnati Reds in the second round, marking significant career milestones for both athletes.
