Michigan State Rower Maddie Kieft Wins Gold at U23 World Championships

Michigan State University rower Maddie Kieft, representing the USA, earned a gold medal in the women's quad event at the recent U23 World Championships in Germany. Kieft and her American teammates pulled ahead before the 1000-meter mark and maintained their lead to win gold with a time of 6:28.83. This marks only the second-ever gold for the USA in this event and the first medal since 1994.
