Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy will miss the first six games of the 2026-27 NHL season due to a suspension. The suspension stems from a slash on Buffalo Sabres forward Zach Benson at the end of their first-round playoff series in May. McAvoy also landed outside the Top 10 on NHL Network's list of top defensemen for the second consecutive year.
