For the first time in Masters 1000 history, all eight quarter-finalists at the National Bank Open in Montreal were born in the 2000s. Defending champion Ben Shelton and Jakub Mensik are among those who advanced, with Shelton defeating Joao Fonseca 6-3, 7-6(3) and Mensik beating Botic van de Zandschulp 6-4, 7-5.
