NHL Announces Shortened 2026-27 Preseason Schedule

The National Hockey League has unveiled its full 2026-27 preseason schedule, an eight-day, 65-game slate played across 36 NHL and neutral-site venues, beginning Saturday, September 19, and concluding Saturday, September 26. This marks the first time the preseason schedule has been shortened, a change negotiated in the NHL/NHLPA collective bargaining agreement to accommodate a newly lengthened 84-game regular season.
