Houston Texans backup quarterback Graham Mertz exited a preseason game against the Chargers with a knee injury. Separately, a veteran defensive back for the San Francisco 49ers also left their preseason matchup against the Titans due to an injury. Both incidents were reported on August 14, 2026.
