NFL Discontinues Pro Bowl Game, Will Still Honor Players as Pro Bowlers

The NFL has announced the end of the Pro Bowl game, an exhibition event held almost every year since 1951. The league will continue to honor 88 players as Pro Bowlers, with recognition events and several flag football activities planned in Los Angeles after the season. NFL executive vice president Peter O'Reilly stated the decision is a 'shift from the game to the honor,' aiming to restore the distinction of a Pro Bowl selection.
