Alexander Blockx retires from US Open quarter-final due to injury

Belgian tennis player Alexander Blockx was forced to retire from his US Open quarter-final match against Karen Khachanov due to an injury. Blockx, who had been dealing with a rib injury, retired at 2-3 down in the third set, allowing Khachanov to advance to the semi-finals. Blockx had previously made history as the first Belgian man to reach the US Open quarter-finals.
