Phillies Reinstate All-Star Pitcher Jesus Luzardo

The Philadelphia Phillies have activated All-Star left-handed pitcher Jesus Luzardo from the 15-day injured list. Luzardo, 28, had been sidelined since September 15 due to left shoulder inflammation. His return is significant as the Phillies compete for their fifth consecutive postseason appearance in their regular-season finale against the Tampa Bay Rays.
