Lakers' Kessler and Reaves to Miss Preseason Opener Due to Injuries

Los Angeles Lakers players Walker Kessler (jammed finger) and Austin Reaves (tweaked ankle) will not participate in the team's NBA preseason opener against the Sacramento Kings. Coach JJ Redick indicated both players are "fine" and are being evaluated daily. Their absence marks an unexpected start to the preseason, raising questions about their readiness for the regular season despite the minor nature of the injuries.
