MLB Proposes Major Changes to Season Length and Playoff Format

Major League Baseball has proposed reducing its regular season to 154 games starting in 2029, down from 162. The league also suggests expanding the Division Series to best-of-seven and allowing higher-seeded teams to select opponents in early playoff rounds from 2027. These changes aim to improve player health with more off days and enhance the postseason experience.
