MLB Proposes Shortened 154-Game Season and Expanded Best-of-Seven Division Series

Major League Baseball has proposed reducing the regular season from 162 to 154 games starting in 2029 and expanding the Division Series to a best-of-seven format, as part of its latest collective bargaining proposal to the players' association. The plan also includes a regular weekly off day and allowing higher-seeded teams to pick opponents in early playoff rounds.
