NBA Restricts Certain Sports Betting Wagers

The NBA has notified sportsbooks that specific types of wagers, such as those on the first stat recorded or the opening tip outcome, are now prohibited. This policy change follows betting scandals that affected the league nearly a year ago. Additionally, all NBA players, coaches, and training staff will be required to attend in-person training sessions on the league's sports betting regulations.
