Cleveland Guardians Opt Against Starting Ace Gavin Williams on Short Rest for ALCS Game 6

Cleveland Guardians manager Stephen Vogt has confirmed that ace pitcher Gavin Williams will not start Game 6 of the American League Championship Series on short rest, despite the team facing elimination against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Guardians, trailing 3-2 in the series, will save Williams for a potential Game 7 on regular rest, trusting the rest of their pitching staff to force a decisive game.
