The Orlando Magic and guard Anthony Black are reportedly not close to agreeing on terms for a new contract extension, according to Marc Stein. Despite Black's improved performance last season, the Magic are financially constrained by existing lucrative deals for their core players, making a rookie-scale extension unlikely before the October 19th deadline. If no agreement is reached, Black will become a restricted free agent in the summer of 2027.
