MLB testing new outfield positioning rules in minor leagues to boost offense

Major League Baseball is experimenting with new rules in the Arizona Fall League that restrict outfielders' positioning on every at-bat. The aim is to encourage more doubles and triples by making outfielders play straight up, rather than shifting based on individual hitters' tendencies. This initiative is part of MLB's ongoing efforts to increase offensive production in the game.
