Albert Pujols scheduled to interview for Houston Astros' managerial opening

Former three-time National League MVP Albert Pujols is slated to interview for the Houston Astros' vacant managerial position on Thursday. Pujols, who previously managed the Dominican Republic in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, has long expressed a desire to manage in Major League Baseball. The Astros' managerial role became open after the team parted ways with Joe Espada on October 14.
