Report: 18-year-old Japanese top prospect Shoki Oda meeting with MLB teams

Japanese pitching phenom Shoki Oda, an 18-year-old prospect, is reportedly meeting with several MLB clubs, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, and Philadelphia Phillies. Oda, who was selected in the first round of the 2026 NPB Draft but opted not to sign, could be eligible to sign when the international signing period begins on January 15, subject to any lockout delays. His fastball has touched 97 mph.
