Anthropic launches Opus 4.8 AI model and plans wider release of Mythos-level models

Anthropic has rolled out Opus 4.8, an updated version of its AI model, which improves coding, financial analysis, and reasoning tasks. The company also announced plans to widely release its Mythos-level AI models, previously deemed too dangerous for general public access, in the coming weeks after developing stronger safety safeguards.
