SoftBank Plans Multi-Billion Euro Investment in French AI Data Centers

SoftBank Group has committed to a substantial investment in France, aiming to develop and operate 5 GW of AI data center capacity. The initial phase involves a €45 billion investment for 3.1 GW in the Hauts-de-France region, with a potential total investment reaching €75 billion. This initiative is designed to bolster France's artificial intelligence infrastructure and contribute to European technological independence.
