Air Liquide Announces €200 Million Investment to Support SK hynix's Advanced AI Memory Chip Project in South Korea

Air Liquide has signed a major long-term contract with SK hynix, a leading memory semiconductor company, involving an investment of nearly 200 million euros. This investment will support SK hynix's industrial project dedicated to advanced packaging of High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) chips, which are crucial for AI development. Air Liquide will build and operate a state-of-the-art nitrogen production unit in Cheongju, South Korea, set to begin operations in late 2027, to supply high-purity gases to the new packaging and testing fab.
