Japan Funds Rapidus with ¥150 Billion for 2nm Chip Production
Japan's Information-Technology Promotion Agency (IPA) has provided an additional 150 billion yen, roughly $943 million USD, to semiconductor firm Rapidus Corporation. This funding is part of a national effort to develop and manufacture 2nm-generation logic semiconductors by 2027. The initiative aims to position Japan as a leader in advanced chip technology.
