Google Clarifies AI Search Mode Will Not Be Default in Chrome

Google has stated that its AI Mode will not become the default search experience within the Chrome browser. This clarification comes after an accidental deployment of the feature in a Canary build. The company confirmed that the inclusion of this functionality, which would have directed all search queries to AI Mode, was an error.
