Cybercriminals launched over 92,000 malware attacks worldwide between January and May, disguised as popular artificial intelligence agents and services, according to cybersecurity firm Kaspersky. Fake ChatGPT applications accounted for nearly half of these attacks, with Claude and Gemini also heavily exploited. Attackers leverage trusted AI brands to trick users into downloading malicious files, including banking trojans and spyware.
