Apple Unveils Gemini-Powered Siri, iOS 27, and Multi-AI Extensions at WWDC 2026

Apple announced a completely rebuilt Siri, now powered by a custom 1.2-trillion-parameter Google Gemini model, at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026. The company also introduced iOS 27 and a new Extensions system that allows users to select other AI models, such as Anthropic's Claude, for Apple Intelligence features. iOS 27 Beta 1 was released the same afternoon.
