New Exploit 'RoguePlanet' Discovered in Windows Defender, Granting SYSTEM Access

A proof-of-concept exploit, dubbed 'RoguePlanet,' has been publicly disclosed, leveraging a zero-day race condition vulnerability in Microsoft Windows Defender. This local privilege escalation flaw allows attackers to gain SYSTEM-level privileges on Windows 10 and 11 systems, even those with the latest June 2026 patches.
