EU Initiates Project to Enhance 6G Network Cybersecurity

European researchers and academics have launched the 'Shield-6G' project, an EU-funded initiative involving 19 organizations. This project aims to develop robust cybersecurity measures for future 6G communications, utilizing AI threat detection, digital twins, and honeypots. The goal is to protect against the expanded attack surface and increased interconnectivity expected with 6G networks around 2030.
