International Operation Dismantles NetNut Proxy Network, Disconnecting 2 Million Compromised Devices
A joint international effort, including Google and the FBI, has successfully dismantled NetNut, a residential proxy network. This network, also known as Popa, was utilized by cybercriminals and espionage groups to route malicious traffic through approximately 2 million compromised Android devices worldwide, including smart TVs. The disruption significantly hinders attackers' ability to conceal their identities and operations.
