Self-Driving Startup Turing Secures AMD Backing and Adopts AMD GPUs for AI Training

Japanese self-driving technology developer Turing has received investment from AMD Ventures and begun integrating Advanced Micro Devices' AI accelerators into its systems. Previously reliant on Nvidia hardware, Turing now uses AMD GPUs for approximately 10% of its AI training needs, aiming to diversify supply and reduce costs as it moves towards a commercial launch of its software for consumer and robotaxi markets by 2028.
