Pentagon Awards $80M Task Order for AI-Enabled Counter-Drone Technology

AeroVironment has received an $80.5 million task order for AI-enabled technologies to protect Air Force bases from small unmanned aerial systems. This is the first task order under a new $500 million Army-awarded contract, part of the Domestic Shield initiative to bolster drone defense capabilities.
